Tucked away on a quiet road in the Jupiter Farms community, Shadey Acres is minutes away from the beaches, great restaurants, Riverbend Park for wonderful biking and hiking trails, the PGA National Golf and Spa Resort, Roger Dean Stadium, the brand new Palm Beach Outlets Mall and Legacy Place, super shopping areas like the Gardens Mall, and attractions like the Rapids Water Park, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, museums, mini golf, and arcades!

This spacious, country home is tastefully decorated in a tropical style, featuring wicker furniture and oriental style rugs. The living room area has lots of comfy seating for reading your favorite book, or watching cable or on-demand TV. There is a desk for writing or a laptop, and wireless internet throughout the residence and lanai.

The large family game room has a bumper pool game table that converts to a poker or game table, along with lots of fun board games for the family to enjoy when you are tuckered out from the outdoor activities and shopping that surround this little oasis in paradise. Enjoy the stationary bicycle and yoga mats for your daily workout.

The huge front yard is great for family sports: football, soccer, or yard games, and is complete with a basketball net for a friendly game of HORSE. With lush tropical landscaping, the private outdoor back yard features a screened-in, heated, waterfall-style pool with a heated bubbling spa, a covered lanai for outdoor meals, and a barbecue. There is plenty of seating and room for sunbathing. The pool and spa light up at night for a lovely evening swim!

Additional information

The large “Bahama Room”, “Beach Room” and the “Garden Room” each have king size beds. The living room has a popup trundle with two twins beds (that can convert to a single king size bed), and a full futon. Lovely privacy screens are provided for your comfort. The sleeper sofa in the game room pulls out to a queen size bed with a very comfortable Temperapedic mattress. All the sleeping rooms, the living room and game room have lovely hard wood floors.

The bathrooms are stocked with fluffy towels and beach towels to use for your family’s fun days. Both full bathrooms have hair dryers and makeup mirrors for your convenience. Look in the complimentary “Oops I Forgot” box in the kitchen pantry closet for those necessities you may have left behind.

The large open kitchen offers plenty of room for several cooks and sports new stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, a butcher block island, and is completely equipped with all the utensils and chinaware needed for a large family or group.

The kitchen amenities include a full array of spices and oils for cooking, linens, courtesy coffee and tea, lots of pots, pans, casserole, and baking ware, along with all the small appliances you would have at home.

Plenty of seating includes a long table that can accommodate up to twelve. The pass through window makes dining on the covered lanai easy.

There is a fold out wooden table in the game room closet and four additional Stackmore folding chairs that can be used as additional table space in the kitchen or to play games on anywhere in the house.

The home has a brand new whole house water treatment system and the kitchen is equipped with a Reverse Osmosis Drinking water system at the tap at the sink and through the refrigerator door and ice maker.

We have a full laundry room with brand new washer and dryer and iron and ironing board for your convenience.

A highchair, stroller and pack and play are on site for the little ones. We will install a safety gate around the pool upon request.

Jupiter Farms is a beautiful equestrian neighborhood. We have a barn on the premises, if you want to bring your horse let us know. We can provide a stall with walk out and hay at additional cost.

We are a dog friendly vacation home, so bring along your best friend! We have installed a “PetSafe” invisible fence system, so if your dog is familiar with it, bring the collar. Pet slip covers are provided so if your fuzzy friend wants to lie on the furniture he/she can!

A Publix Grocery Store and five local restaurants are just 5 minutes away. It’s only 10 minutes to major interstates I95 and the Florida Turnpike.

Shadey Acres is just 20 minutes to the most beautiful beaches and waterways in Palm Beach County and the DuBois Park and Pioneer Home.

It’s only six minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike to Riverbend Park where you can bike, hike, rent canoes and kayaks to paddle the Loxahatchee River, and enjoy the abundant wildlife. You and the family can backpack in a barbeque picnic to enjoy underneath one of the authentic Chickee Huts, built by Seminole and Miccosukee tribes 200 years ago. Riverbend Park is also the site Loxahatchee Battlefield - Second Seminole Indian War in 1838.

For a fun bike trip, ride your bike down the multiuse trail within the Northeast Everglades Natural Area (NENA) -- the Historic Jupiter Indiantown Trail right into Riverbend Park. You can take a local horseback ride and don’t forget to visit the Busch Sanctuary, about 5 miles east. With daily animal shows and all kinds of Florida wildlife on display, including the Florida Panther and Black bears, OH MY!

All living and sleeping rooms have cable and flat screen TV’s. The living and game rooms have DVD players, so bring you favorite movies. There are also HDMI and AVI cables on the living room and game room TV’s so you can plug in your favorite video games. Cable with music is available, and there is a game room has bumper pool table, board games, and cards.

Don't forget to check the big wicker trunk in game room for some outdoor sports equipment (basketball, football, soccer ball / cones, volley ball, badminton, horse shoes and bocce ball) and the closet in game room for poker chips and board games.

Four adult bikes and assorted child size bikes and helmets come with the property. Riding through the neighborhood and neighboring state parks is wonderful. For larger parties, Riverbend Park has additional bikes for rent.

Local boat and water sports equipment rental are nearby, as well as three golf courses within 25 minutes of the property. Local equestrian centers offer trail rides and lessons.

Some local activities include:

In 15 minutes you can be at the beach, fishing pier, hop a water taxi, and go deep sea fishing. The more adventurous can enjoy kite surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and jet skiing in the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway or crystal clear ocean at Carlin Park. By the way, if you get to the beach before about 2 pm, be sure to try the food at the Loggerhead Café, it’s right at the beach and the food is great!

Visit the landmark 1860 Jupiter Lighthouse museum and climb to the top for a spectacular view. Check out exhibits in the waterfront History Museum located in the restored WWII Naval housing quarters building. Outdoor exhibits include the Lighthouse Keeper's Workshop, Tindall Pioneer Homestead, and a Seminole Chickee.

Peanut Island Water Taxi is just 25 minutes away. Pack a picnic lunch and cruise out to Peanut Island, a premier picnic spot and home of the famous “JFK Bomb Shelter” built in 1961 for the president in case nuclear war broke out while he was at the Kennedy compound on Palm Beach Island. Bring a snorkel, they have recently added a lagoon just for snorkeling!

Enjoy a game of golf and the numerous public and private courses nearby, including the PGA National Resort and Spa hosting the Honda Classic Tournament in early March. Try Mini Golf for the whole family, spend the afternoon at the Lighthouse Cove Adventure Mini-Golf and Burger Shack!

Visit the prestigious Gardens Mall, Downtown at the Gardens, Legacy Place and the Palm Beach Outlet Mall, all just 20-25 minutes away. Don't miss famous Worth Ave. on Palm Beach Island, and make advance plans online for a show at the Kravis Center, a first rate yearlong theatre and the Improv Comedy Club in fabulous City Place, West Palm Beach.

Visit the beautiful gardens at the Society of the Four Arts on Palm Beach Island. While you are on the Island, don’t forget to visit Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, the residence of Henry Flagler while he was building a railroad to Key West. It’s a spectacular home and features the original club railroad car that Flagler used while traveling back and forth between NY and Florida. West Palm Beach is loaded with galleries, restaurants and shopping.

Just 25 minutes away prepare to have a watery blast at the Rapids Water Park, South Florida's premiere family water park, featuring 30-action packed acres of attractions including 35 of the biggest, wettest, and most thrilling water slides. The park offers a full day of non-stop fun with something for everyone, whether you make a splash in the cool blue waves, take a thrilling plunge down the waterslides, or just relax and float around the lazy river… there is something fun for everyone.

For baseball fans, Roger Dean Stadium is 20 minutes away. Roger Dean is home of the St. Louis Cardinals and Florida Marlins. Enjoy watching the Spring Training games that run all of March and early April.

Head South:

Ft. Lauderdale is an hour away with beautiful beaches restaurants and world famous Las Olas Blvd. A trip to Butterfly World is a great time for children and adults alike.

Visit famous Miami South Beach (SOBE), and Bayside for shopping and dining. Jungle Island and the Miami Botanical Gardens-just an hour and a half away from Shadey Acres!

Go West on Indiantown Road for 10 minutes to the famous Palm Beach International Raceway for high speed racing excitement, or go for another 50 minutes to do some fresh water fishing, air boating or exploring on and around Florida’s famous Lake Okeechobee.

And if you head North: Visit Mickey Mouse in 2 hours 15 minutes at Disney World, or enjoy the numerous fabulous theme parks in Orlando.
