From the moment you walk through the door, Big Horn is home and your large group of family and friends will not want for anything!

Professionally decorated with high end furnishings that capture a comfortable and rustic elegance, Big Horn can easily accommodate 20 guests among 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. One can’t help be anything but comfortable among the three floors spread over almost 7,000 square feet. And, not to mention, this is by far the best and most spectacular, unobstructed view of the valley, Pineview Lake, and the Wasatch Mountain Range the Trapper’s Ridge community has to offer.

Carefully laid out with large, open gathering areas on each of the three floors insures no one misses a thing. All furnishings and linens were chosen for their high end quality, beauty, and comfort. Fully stocked kitchen, gas grill, two gas fireplaces, media room, ping pong table room, pool table, private hot tub…..the list of amenities goes on and on!

Big Horn has plenty to entertain. Watch a movie or big game in the huge media room with giant flat screen and surround sound. Enjoy a fire while gathered around the basement bar waiting your turn to shoot on our custom pool table. Or, in an entirely separate room, organize your own ping pong tournament.

Imagine arriving back home to Big Horn after an amazing day of skiing on Utah’s best powder. Dry all your gear in the huge laundry room with hanging rack and cubbies to make ready for the next day.

Summer days might find you enjoying one of the many outdoor activities the area has to offer: hiking, biking, fishing, climbing, boating, horseback riding, or even 4 wheeling. Trapper's Ridge’s clubhouse amenities offering a swimming pool, extra-large outdoor hot tub, indoor gym and a gathering area with TV, ping pong table and small kitchen.

But for pure relaxation, the private hot tub could be the order of the night with stars shining in the sky and lights twinkling in the valley, Snowbasin in the distance and night time skiers making their way down Wolf Mountain.

Activities

Trapper's Ridge within Eden Valley simply cannot be beat for location. At under an hour from Salt Lake Airport, take your pick of three awesome ski resorts within about 20 minutes of Big Horn. No man-made snow here!

Snowbasin is consistently recognized as one of the best of the best and site of several events in the 2002 Winter Olympic games. Powder Mountain spans over 7,000 acres of gorgeous terrain and boasts 500 inches of fresh powder a season. No man-made snow here! And you can catch a shuttle to Powder about 5 minutes from the house. Wolf Mountain, a favorite of the locals, is the perfect place to learn to ski or snowboard. For snowmobiling, nearby Monte Cristo simply cannot be beat. This will be a trip not to be forgotten.

Summers are equally grand with days spent at the lake or hiking one of many trails. End the day at one of the variety of restaurants the valley has to offer, or simply choose to grill on the back porch.

At Powder Mountain, in addition to ski lifts with access to over 7,000 skiable acres, take advantage of the back country through snowcat powder safari’s and guided tours. Summer months provide amble opportunities for hiking and mountain biking.

Transportation

TransportationThe Utah Transit Authority Ski Bus provides service from Ogden or Eden for a nominal fee. Powder Mountain is located 19 miles northeast of Ogden and 55 miles north of Salt Lake International Airport.

Food & DrinkPowder Valley resort has few options for evening finding and entertainment, as most who visit choose to hole-up for the evening with home cooked meals. However, a quick drive to nearby Ogden Valley or the city of Ogden provide a plethora of great food and dining options.
