    For groups needing more sleeping capacity we offer two additional cabins within easy walking distance of the Black Bear Lodge. Our Bear Cub and Grizzly cabins sleep up to 10 more people.

    Grizzly cabin has a pool table and hot tub for additional leisure activities for the group.

General

The Black Bear Lodge is located a few minutes from Natural Bridge State Park, the Red River Gorge, and all the area’s activities.

The rooms are cutely decorated with mountain theme decor and include a full en-suite bathroom, satellite TV, mini fridge, and coffee pot.

This is the perfect location for large group gatherings. The Lodge can sleep up to 32 people and has a small conference room available with tables to seat 28 people.

The conference room provides a refrigerator, two microwaves, two electric griddles, two electric skillets, sink, counter space, glasses, cups, plates, bowls, utensils, and a bathroom.

A large charcoal grill is available for groups wanting to grill out. The firepit and picnic tables are provided for group outings.

All guests get a free cup of coffee each morning at our full service coffee shop located right next door in the Daniel Boone Trading Post.

Breakfast sandwiches, cappuccino, espresso, hot chocolate and free Wi-Fi are also offered. For lunch the deli has wraps or freshly prepared sandwiches available for purchase.

The Daniel Boone Trading Post is also a great place to pick up necessities like groceries, convenience items, ice, firewood, and an ATM.

Activities

Located on Route 11, Black Bear Lodge is located just a couple minutes from the Natural Bridge State Park and the Red River Gorge Area.

Popular activities include hiking, fishing, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, zip-lining, and ATV-riding.

The local zoo and Cave Run Lake are nearby, and there are live bluegrass concerts at Clay City’s Meadowgreen Park Music Hall every Saturday night October- April.

There is a picnic shelter planned for Fall 2015.
