We suggest taking advantage of the wonderful group or private snowboard or skiing instruction available at Brian Head Resort. It is inexpensive and fun. The resort also offers lift ticket and lesson packages. You may wish to make your reservations ahead of time the Brian Head Resort web page.

The elevation of our home is 9,800 ft. The base at Giant Steps is 10,000 ft. On the way up we recommend drinking LOTS of water. Sports drinks offering electrolytes are even better.

Food services are limited at Brian Head, and you may want to stop for groceries beforehand. Cedar City has an Albertsons, Wal-Mart and Lins. Parowan has a Food Town that closes at 9:00pm.

Transportation

TransportationLocated about half way between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, you have great options for flight travel. From Salt Lake City, head south on I-15 for 250 miles of stunning mountain scenery. From Las Vegas, head north on I-15 for 213 miles, also being sure to stop by Zion National Park on the way.
