Aloha! Welcome to Khammoui’s Shangri-La By The Sea, and the best partial ocean views in Kona Shores! The complex is very green with a solar water heater and photovoltaic, and absolutely full of Hawaiian charm.

Shangri-La By The Sea is a second floor unit with cool cross breezes. You will love the sound of the ocean and watching the crystal clear blue ocean while sipping Kona coffee off the lanai!

Downtown is only ½ mile away. You are close to town, but not in the thick of it. If you enjoy walking, you can stroll along Alii Drive to the farmer’s market for fresh local fruits, vegetables, and souvenirs. Restaurants, beaches, tourist activities, and snorkeling is all close by, and the cloud forest to see parrots is only 10 minute drive away.

If you love to walk, you can save money on car rental by exploring Kailua-Kona on foot where all shopping and restaurants are less than 30 minutes away. Only 15 minute walk to the Royal Kona Resort for various activities or to famous Alii Drive where all the action happens!

You will enjoy the stroll to Wal-Mart, Target, Ross's, Safeway, KTA, Long's, beaches, para-sailing, jet skiing, snorkeling, sunset cruise, submarine ride etc.

Toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, trash bags and laundry detergent are all provided. There is a coin operated washer/dryer located at the ground floor on the North end of the building.

Extra towels, beach towels, and so much more is provided. If you need something during your stay we didn't provide in the unit, let us know and we will try to accommodate if we can.

We shampoo the carpet and the sofas April and October to keep the place looking and smelling clean.

Any problems with unit during your stay, we will have it taken care of right away. If you need something during your stay not provided, let us know and we will accommodate if we can. Our office is just two minutes away!

ActivitiesThe west coast of Hawaii is know as the “Kona Side”. Due to the local weather conditions this side of Hawaii is almost always dry and sunny, and there are numerous white sand beaches perfect for sunbathing, snorkeling and swimming! The Kona side of the Island is also known for its lush green golf courses that form an unearthly contrast with the black lava they are build upon and attract top-players from around the world.

Transportation

TransportationTravel to Kona International Airport (KOA) in Kona to the west, or Hilo International Airport (ITO) in Hilo to the east. Most visitors arrive in Kona. There is also the option of flying into Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on Oahu first and then taking a short, 35-40 minute flight to Hawaii Island.

Food & DrinkThe slopes of the volcanoes around Kona are home to the world famous Kona coffee, so if you are into coffee try to visit a Kona coffee farm. You can of course also get a fresh cup of Kona coffee in town.
