The 720 acre lake with a clean public beach and stunning view of the Blue Ridge mountain range and Chimney Rock are the main attraction. Lake Lure is a great family destination with plenty of opportunities for swimming, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, hiking and rock climbing. Golf courses include Apple Valley, Bald Mountain and the public Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course.
