Punta Mita is a small beachfront village located on Banderas Bay, about 10 miles north of Puerto Vallarta. Surrounded on three sides by the Pacific Ocean, there is no shortage of sandy beaches, warm water, comforting sunshine and gentle sea breezes to enjoy. Take a fishing or whale watching charter out onto the Pacific or visit Careyeros Hill, a prehistoric human settlement on a nearby hilltop, which dates back to 800 A.D.
